Volleyball: IU East Weekend Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team finishes the regular season this weekend as the Red Wolves entertain two River States Conference foes.

IU East welcomes WVU Tech to Lingle Court on Friday, Nov. 8. That contest begins at 5:30 p.m. On Saturday, the Red Wolves celebrate Senior Day against Midway University at 2 p.m.

The Red Wolves are 22-9 overall and 11-3 in the conference after a 25-15, 25-15, 28-26 win at home over Shawnee State University on Nov. 2.

WVU Tech is 11-15, 7-7. The Golden Bears defeated Midway 25-21, 25-23, 25-22 last weekend.

Midway is 11-15, 6-8 as the Eagles are coming off a 25-19, 25-18, 25-19 loss at Shawnee State earlier this week.

* The seniors for IU East to be honored after Saturday's match are Emily Baker, Alison Juday, Teah Barrett Matthews, Sheridan Phillips, Briann Robinson, Reece Shirley and Jessica Swimm.

* IU East remains in third place in the RSC standings behind IU Kokomo (28-4, 15-0) and the University of Rio Grande (25-8, 12-2).

* Earlier this season, IU East won 22-25, 25-21, 25-18, 25-17 at WVU Tech.

* The Red Wolves beat Midway on the road 25-15, 25-17, 26-24 back in October.
