Volleyball: IU East Weekend Preview
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team hosts a pair of River States Conference opponents this weekend.
The Red Wolves entertain Alice Lloyd College on Friday, Nov. 1. The contest on Lingle Court gets underway at 6 p.m.
In Saturday's action, IU East has an opportunity to earn two victories versus Shawnee State University. The two teams are set to resume a suspended match from earlier this season at 1 p.m.
A power outage at Shawnee State stopped play with the Red Wolves leading 25-22, 25-19. The regularly scheduled affair begins at 2 p.m.
IU East is 19-9 overall and 8-3 in conference after falling 25-21, 25-18, 14-25, 18-25, 17-15 at IU Southeast last weekend.
Alice Lloyd is 6-23 and 0-12 in the RSC. The Eagles dropped a 25-8, 25-15, 25-16 decision at Midway University earlier this week.
Shawnee State is 14-9, 7-4 as the Bears downed WVU Tech 17-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-19 on Oct. 29.

* IU East won 25-17, 25-18, 25-13 at Alice Lloyd earlier this season in Kentucky.
* Teah Barrett Matthews was leading the Red Wolves with seven kills in the suspended Shawnee State match, while Reece Shirley and Aislyn Hogan each had 13 assists with Ella Bickel adding nine digs.
* The Red Wolves currently have the third best record in the RSC behind IU Kokomo (25-4, 12-0) and the University of Rio Grande (22-8).
