Volleyball: IU East Weekend Preview
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team will be in the southern part of the state this weekend as the Red Wolves visit IU Columbus and IU Southeast.
On Friday, Oct. 18, the River States Conference match at IU Columbus gets underway at the CERA Sports Park at 7 p.m. Next up on Saturday is the league affair with the Grenadiers in the IU Southeast Activities Building at noon.
IU East is 18-8 overall and 7-2 in the conference after a 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 24-11 over Oakland City University 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 24-11 on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Earlier this week IU Columbus defeated IU Southeast 25-17, 25-22, 23-25, 20-25, 15-13. The Crimson Pride enters Friday's match with an 8-10 record with a 4-7 mark on the RSC. IU Southeast is 8-16 and 6-6 heading into Friday's contest at home with Midway University.

* The leaders for the Red Wolves against Oakland City were Reece Shirley (15 kills and 23 assists), Aislyn Hogan (seven aces), Teah Barrett Matthews (four blocks) and Summer Hendershot (22 digs).
* Ella Brooks led IU Columbus in its win over IU Southeast with 21 kills and 21 Digs.
* For IU Southeast in the contest versus the Crimson Pride, Cora Baker had 11 kills as Sadie Egan had 23 assists and Hunter Madison had seven aces.
