Volleyball: IU East 3, Earlham 2

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team battled back to win the final two sets outlasting Earlham College 25-20, 25-27, 19-25, 25-22, 15-11 in the Druley Performance Gymnasium on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

IU East is now 12-7 with two straight victories, while the Quakers are 4-9.

The Red Wolves had four players with double digit kills led by Aubrey Miller, who had 16. Sheridan Phillips finished with 12 as Teah Barrett Matthews and Payton Schultheis added 11 apiece.

Reece Shirley led IU East with 34 assists with Lauren Uhte contributing 10 assists.

Defensively, Summer Hendershot and Ella Bickel both topped the Red Wolves with 18 digs as Abby Herman had 16. Amyra Lockett had five blocks with Phillips adding four.

Next up for IU East is a trip to River States Conference foe Shawnee State University on Friday, Sept. 27. The contest in Waller Gymnasium gets underway at 5 p.m.
