RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team opened the weekend with a tough 25-22, 25-13, 25-21 home loss to No. 11 IU Kokomo on Friday, Sept. 20.
IU East is now 10-7 overall with an 0-2 mark in the River States Conference, while the Cougars are 13-4, 2-0.
Sheridan Phillips led IU East with 12 kills as Aubrey Miller added eight.
Reece Shirley finished with 33 assists for the Red Wolves.
Defensively for IU East, Ella Bickel led the way with 14 digs as Amyra Lockett finished with two blocks.
The Red Wolves are back on Lingle Court to face St. Mary-of-the-Woods College (16-1, 0-1) on Saturday, Sept. 21. The conference affair gets underway at 2 p.m.
