Red Wolves Fall Twice in Kokomo

KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University East volleyball team dropped a pair of matches at IU Kokomo on Friday, Sept. 13.

IU East fell 25-23, 25-20, 22-25, 25-19 in the opener against Campbellsville University in the IU Kokomo Student Activities and Events Center. In the second contest, the University of Cumberlands won 25-22, 25-20, 25-13 over the Red Wolves.

The Red Wolves are now 9-5, while Campbellsville was 10-7 after the IU East match. Cumberlands remains unbeaten at 19-0.

In the Campbellsville match, IU East had three players reach double digits in kills as Jessica Swimm led the way with 15. Aubrey Miller finished with 14 and Amyra Lockett added 12.

Aislyn Hogan had 43 assists and 12 digs with Ella Bickel ending with a team-high 13 digs.

Against Cumberlands, Teah Barrett Matthews and Miller both had nine kills. Hogan led IU East with 32 assists, while adding eight digs. Bickel matched her earlier total of 13 digs.

Next up for the Red Wolves is a home contest versus IU South Bend on Saturday, Sept. 14. The affair on Lingle Court gets underway at noon.
