Track and Field: RSC Championships Day 2 Recap
PITTSBURGH, Pa. - The Indiana University East track and field teams had a pair of winners as the Red Wolves completed the 2024 River States Conference Outdoor Championships at the P3R Track & Field Complex on Friday, April 26.
Tristan Thomas grabbed the first title as he won the 100 meters in an IU East record time of 10.80 seconds.
Later in the afternoon, Vanessa Temple also broke the school record as she took the first-place medal in the 400-meter hurdles in 1:07.67.
India Benton was the only Red Wolf to earn two all-conference designations on Friday. Benton was third in the 400 meters as she established a new standard for IU East with a 59.50. In the 200 meters, Benton was also third in 25.83 seconds.
Kaleah Louden set the other school record for IU East on Friday as she finished second in the 100-meter hurdles running a time of 16.13 seconds.
Joining Benton and Louden as a member of the all-conference team was Ty Williams. Williams had a distance of 14.75 meters in the shot put to finish in third place.

Both IU East teams finished in sixth place out of 12 squads as Point Park University won both championships.
Brooke Sudhoff and Schulz represented IU East on the RSC Champions of Character Team.
