Track & Field: Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational Day 2 Recap
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Indiana University East track and field teams finished the second day of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Friday, March 15.
Jackson Marker led the Red Wolves as he was 14th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 18.51 seconds at the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
India Benton posted a personal record time of 13.13 seconds in the 100 meters to finish 47th out of 86 entrants. Vanessa Temple was 70th in the same event with a 13.78.
The 800-meter relay squad of Tristan Thomas, Marker, Bryson Hoober and Grant Luebbe was 21st in 1:39.09.
Thomas was the next best finish as he was 25th in the long jump with a distance of 6.19 meters. Temple (41st, 4.46) and Naleya Kinney (51st, 4.27) also competed in the women's long jump.
Scheduled to compete for the Red Wolves on the final day of the event on Saturday are Hoober, Kinney, Luebbe, Temple, Julia Arruda, Richard Bower, DeAndre Hall, Evelyn Hasenour, Eleanor Hasenour, AJ Ludwig, Dixon Minton, Mylan Nocton, Caden Shumaker, Kyler Shultz and Carter Walsman.
