Indoor Track: IU East at IU Early Bird Meet Preview

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East track and field teams close out the 2025 portion of the indoor season at the Indiana University Early Bird Meet in Bloomington on Friday, Dec. 12.

The meet begins with the pentathlon competition starting at noon inside the Harry Gladstein Fieldhouse.

IU East's day gets underway with the field events at 3 p.m. Races on the track are scheduled for 4:05 p.m.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW

* IU East's next meet is the Rob & Patty Lydic Invitational at Ohio Northern University on Saturday, Jan. 17.

* The Red Wolves opened the indoor season with four winners at the Mount St. Joseph University Fall Invitational on Saturday, Dec. 6.

* Emilee Earl won the women's pole vault (3.25 meters) and shot put (12.33 meters) as she established school records in both events.

* Carson Shepherd also won the men's pole vault (3.95 meters).

* The IU East 4 x 200 men's relay team of Miguel Mendez Jr., Brody Puckett, Evan Manix and Jaiden Crowell ran a school record of 1:35.05 to win.

* While finishing second, the 4 x 200 women's relay team of Audrey Harper, Vanessa Temple, Esther George and Mackenzie Rohde posted a record time of 1:50.05.
