
Red Wolves Topple Earlham
RICHMOND, Ind. – The IU East women's tennis team defeated crosstown foe Earlham College 6-1 in a breezy cold afternoon.
The win gives the Red Wolves their third of the season. IU East defeated Earlham in the fall 9-0.
Eva Caballero and Linda Marino won No. 1 Doubles 6-1 as Amonette Theron and Laura Billing won 6-4 in the No. 2 spot. Gracie Hollingsworth and Brooke Schafstall won No. 3 Doubles 6-0 to give IU East the doubles point off of the sweep.
The Red Wolves won in straight sets on No. 1, 4, 5, and 6 Singles. Kerstin Ellis went the distance at No. 3 Singles, winning 6-0, 4-6, 7-6 (10-3).
IU East will travel to Shawnee State on Friday. The match against IU Southeast has been postponed due to potential weather.
