Women's Soccer: Oakland City 3, IU East 1
CENTERVILLE, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's soccer team maintained its third place position in the River States Conference despite falling 3-1 to Oakland City University at Centerville High School on Thursday, Oct. 31.
IU East is 4-8-4 overall with 4-1-2 mark in the conference, while Oakland City leads the league at 12-4 and 8-0.
The match was tied 1-1 after the first half before the Mighty Oaks scored twice on penalty kicks in the second period to take the win.
Morgan Grudich scored for the Red Wolves off a corner kick by Vanessa Temple, which tied the affair at 18:03.
Goalkeeper Kylie O'Leary recorded two saves for IU East.
The Red Wolves return to action versus Midway University on Saturday, Nov. 2. The match at Eaton (Ohio) High School begins at 3 p.m.
Grudich and O'Leary along with Denise Davalos, Grace Harris, Jordan Miller and Ema Nunley will be honored on Senior Day before the Red Wolves take on Midway in the last contest of the regular season.
