Women's Soccer: IU East 2, Brescia 0
OWENSBORO, Ky. - The Indiana University East women's soccer team picked up a 2-0 victory over Brescia University on Thursday Oct. 10.
With the River States Conference win in Kamuf Park Sports Complex, IU East is now 2-7-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the league. Brescia is 3-7 and 1-2.
IU East's Katherine Lopez Cruz opened the scoring at the 4:00 mark in the first half as she was assisted by Ava Wittrock.
Denise Davalos was next to find the goal for the Red Wolves at 10:22 with Wittrock assisting.
Goalkeeper Kylie O'Leary had four saves for the Red Wolves as Brescia led 16-10 in overall shots.
The Red Wolves are back in action at IU Columbus on Saturday Oct. 12. The RSC contest starts at 4:30 p.m.
