Women's Soccer: WVU Tech 2, IU East 1
EATON, Ohio - The Indiana University East women's soccer team gave up a goal in the second half, which proved to be the difference as the Red Wolves dropped a 2-1 decision to WVU Tech on Saturday, Oct. 5.
IU East is now 1-7-3 overall and 1-1-1 in the River States Conference, while WVU Tech is 4-2-3, 2-0-1.
The Golden Bears scored at 4:16 in the first half at Eaton (Ohio) High School before Zaryah Griffin tied the contest for IU East with an unassisted goal at 30:16.
Julia Silva picked up the winning goal for WVU Tech at 68:37.
Goalkeeper Kylie O'Leary had one save for the Red Wolves as IU East had a 7-4 edge in shots.
Next up for the Red Wolves is a trip to Brescia University on Thursday, Oct. 10. The RSC match starts at 5 p.m.
