Women's Soccer: IU East 1, IU Kokomo 0

KOKOMO, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's soccer team started River States Conference play with a 1-0 victory at IU Kokomo on Saturday, Sept. 28.

IU East is now 1-6-2 overall and 1-0 in the league, while IU Kokomo falls to 3-6-2 and 0-1-1.

The Red Wolves picked up their goal in the first half as Maya Diceanu scored at the 29:37 mark with an assist from Grace Harris in the contest played on the Northwestern High School Baseball Field.

IU East goalkeeper Kylie O'Leary had for saves for the Red Wolves as they had a 19-13 advantage in shots.

Next up for the Red Wolves is a visit to Shawnee State University on Thursday, Oct. 3. The conference contest gets underway at 6 p.m.
