"We played some really good golf today," IU East coach Billy Mullin said. "Unfortunately, we didn't finish the round today as well as we would have liked, but our players are competing really well, and I appreciate their efforts."
Saturday's final round at the Wildcat Creek Golf Course begins with a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
"Our goal is to play sharper tomorrow and finish this tournament off," Mullin said.
Katie Craig leads IU East with an 80, which puts her in fourth place.
"I didn’t play my best golf today, but I held in there to put up a competitive score," Craig said. "My driver was good all day, but I struggled with my irons and putter."
Liv Sanders is tied for fifth at 81, while Jalyn Bruns and Lainey Jackson are both in seventh at 82.
Next for the Red Wolves is Sophia Curry with an 83 earning a tie for ninth. Curry is followed by Ashlynne Osborne 89 (13th), Zoe Ogden 103 (23rd) and Aurora Biava 109 (24th).
"I'm proud of the way the team played today," Craig said. "This course is tough and we all put up competitive scores. Hopefully, we can bring this with us into tomorrow and finish the fall season on a good note."
