Women's Golf: IU East at Saddlebrook Spring Kick-off Day 2 Recap

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla. - Jalyn Bruns maintained a tie for the seventh position on the individual leaderboard as the Indiana University East women's golf team completed the second round of the Saddlebrook Spring Kick-off Tournament on Wednesday, March 5.

Bruns carded an 84 to give her a two-day total of 166 heading into Thursday's final round on the Palmer Course at the Saddlebrook Resort near Tampa.

"Today was challenging physically and mentally for sure," Bruns said. "We had quite a few holes where we had to play in heavy winds and rain.

"Besides two holes where I took a big number, I played pretty consistently and was able to sink my last putt for a birdie," Bruns added. "I'm excited to play tomorrow where we will hopefully have some better weather."

The other scores for IU East were Liv Sanders 83-91-174 (T19th), Sophia Curry 91-91-182 (25th), Katie Craig 106-96-206 (33rd), Lainey Jackson 97-109-206 (34th) and Ashlynne Osborne had a 107 on Wednesday.
