Women's Golf: IU East Fall Tournament Recap
MUNCIE, Ind. - Annie Gillock led the Indiana University East women's golf team with a third-place finish at Delaware Country Club on Friday, Sept. 23.
Gillock's 87-77-164 helped the Red Wolves to finish second in the IU East Fall Invitational.
"It was a long day playing 36 in one day, but our girls persevered," IU East coach Billy Mullin said. "Annie played a strong final round."
As a team, IU East posted a 358-339-697. Marian University won the event with a 343-322-665. Mackenzie Dresbaugh of Marian was the medlist with a 79-80-159.
The other scores for IU East were Jalyn Bruns (86-87-173, 6th), Brooklynn Cromwell (92-85-177, 9th), Liv Sanders (97-90-187, 11th), Katie Craig (93-96-189, 14th), Josalyn Lewis (92-99-191, 15th) and Megan Schrier (100-105-205, 21st)
"Jalyn was our most consistent performer for both rounds to join Annie on the all-tournament team," Mullin said. "I think it will be the first of many for Jalyn."
IU East returns to action in the River States Conference Fall Preview at Belterra Golf Club on Oct. 3-4.
