Marc Vilas joins the Red Wolves women’s basketball program after spending the past two years working as a player agency consultant and pro player development coach.

 

Previously he spent 13 years coaching in Europe. Marc started in coaching career in 2000, while still a senior in high school and worked his way up through the coaching ranks at the high school, AAU and college levels before moving overseas.

 

Having been raised by a Marine and with a family culture of service, getting into coaching at a young age was an easy decision for Marc. Servant Leadership is a core value that he brings to his everyday life and work. “The way I was raised, moving all over the place every few years with a military family, and then getting to travel internationally while working with basketball has given me a worldwide perspective. I’m very grateful for all of my experiences, even the hard the ones.” These experiences of how life can be lived and the game of basketball can be played is what Marc brings to the IU East athletic department.
