
Men's Cross Country: RSC Championships Preview
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's cross country team is one of three ranked squads set to compete in the River States Conference Championships on Saturday, Nov. 9.
The men's 8K race begins the day at the Angel Mounds Cross Country Course in Evansville at 10:30 a.m. (IU East time). The women's 6K is at 11:30 a.m. The awards follow at 12:45 p.m.
IU East is ranked No. 20 in the latest NAIA National Poll. Defending RSC champ Shawnee State University in No. 19, while the University of Rio Grande is in No. 8 spot.
The Red Wolves finished third last season after winning the title in 2022. Rio Grande was second last fall.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW
* The team champions receive the RSC automatic bid to the national meet, which will be at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri on Friday, Nov. 22.
* Individual qualification to nationals will be earned by the top four individuals in each race not from a team qualifier. These individuals must finish among the Top 15 in the conference race.
* The top seven finishers will be All-RSC First Team with the runners in eighth through 14th will be All-RSC Second Team. The next seven will be All-RSC Third Team.
* Last year, Mylan Nocton was fourth with a time of 25:17.067 as he was All-RSC First Team and qualified to compete in the national championships.
