Track & Field: Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational Day 1 Recap
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Indiana University East's Kyler Shultz was the only competitor for the Red Wolves track and field teams during the opening day of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Thursday, March 14.
Shultz improved one position from his 18th seed in the men's weight throw in the Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
With a distance of 43.59 meters (143-0) on his first throw of the event, Shultz finished 17th out of 51 participants.
The Red Wolves have India Benton, Naleya Kinney, Kaleah Louden, Jackson Marker, Vanessa Temple and Tristan Thomas expected to take part as individuals in Friday's events that begin at 9 a.m. The three-day meet concludes on Saturday.
