Track & Field: Hilltopper Relays Day 2 Recap

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Indiana University East outdoor track and field teams finished the Hilltopper Relays at Western Kentucky University on Saturday, April 1.

IU East's Tucker Burris led the way for the Red Wolves on the Charles M. Ruter Track as he won the men's 5,000-meter run in 15:25.70. Mylan Nocton followed Burris in the event as he was second with a time of 15:33.93.

Richard Bower was IU East's other winner as he ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:38.78.

River States Conference Field Athlete of the Week Ty'Shaun Williams was also second in the discus with a throw of 43.90 meters.

The 400-meter relay squad of Erick Gallardo Cortes, AJ Ludwig, DeAndre Hall and Chance Klipstine was seventh posting a time of 3:42.81.

Other Red Wolves finishing in the top 10 individually were: Teagen Rodriguez (third in 1,500, 4:13.59), Rex Kirchenstien (fourth in javelin, 41.80 meters), Klipstine (fourth in 800, 2:00.32), Wyatt Beck (fifth in 1,500, 4:16.90), Kirchenstien (fifth in high jump, 1.75 meters), Brooke Sudhoff (fifth in pole vault, 2.90 meters), Vanessa Temple (sixth in pole vault, 2.75 meters), Kyle Stanley (seventh in 5,000, 16:12.29), Hannah Best (eighth in 800, 2:35.35), Camron Nocton (eighth in 1,500, 4:20.51), Kyler Shultz (eighth in javelin, 37.71 meters), Reanna Stinson (eighth in high jump, 1.45 meters), Sam Houck (ninth in discus, 36.49 meters), Abby Page (ninth in 1,500, 5:32.52), Houck (10th in javelin, 29.72 meters) and Maddy Wolf (10th in 1,500, 5:34.19).
