Indoor Track: RSC Indoor Championships Day 2 Recap
MARIETTA, Ohio – The Indiana University East track and field teams finished the 2025 River States Conference Indoor Championships as several Red Wolves picked up some more hardware on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Cameron Nocton and Tristan Thomas were IU East's champions as the Red Wolves totaled five victories in the two-day affair at the Dyson Baudo Rec Center on the campus of Marietta College. Nocton won the 3,000-meter Racewalk with a new IU East record of 12:36.99, which lowered his NAIA "A" Qualifying Standard time. The NAIA National Championships are Feb. 27-March 1 in Gainesville, Fla.
Thomas claimed the title in the 55-meter dash with a school record time of 6.45 seconds.
Brody Puckett and Abby Gudeman were both named to the RSC Champions of Character Team during the awards ceremony.
In addition to the pair of champs, there were four other individuals who picked up all-conference honors as they finished in the top three of their events.
India Benton was second in the women's 400 with a 1:01.30, while Emily Fleming also took second in the women's 800 with a time of 2:24.31.
Owen Beachler set a school record of 8.03 seconds in the 55-meter hurdles to finish third as Alexis Dean was third in the women's 3,000-meter racewalk as she posted a school record of 17:47.63, which is also a NAIA "B" Qualifying Standard.
The men's 1,600-meter relay team of Grant Luebbe, DeAndre Hall, AJ Ludwig and Brody Puckett had a time of 3:32.46 to finish third in the final event on the track.
IU East's 1,600-meter relay squad of Vanessa Temple, Benton, Sarah Marshall and Mackenzie Rohde was fourth in 4:16.36.

The University of Rio Grande won both titles with the Red Wolves finishing fourth in the men's meet and fifth in the women's event.
