Men's Soccer: Shawnee State 4, IU East 0
PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - The Indiana University East men's soccer team dropped its River States Conference opener 4-0 at Shawnee State University on Thursday, Oct. 3.
The Red Wolves are now 4-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference. Shawnee State is 4-6-1 and 1-1.
Shawnee State's Cameron Thompson scored both goals for the Bears in the first half on the Shawnee Turf. Nikos Pontikis and João Coqueti Léo picked up the other goals for Shawnee State in the second period.
IU East goalkeeper Peter Lamprou had six saves for the Red Wolves.
Next up for the Red Wolves is WVU Tech (4-3-2, 2-0) on Saturday, Oct. 5. The RSC contest at Eaton (Ohio) High School begins at 5:30 p.m.
