Men's Basketball: IU East at The Show Preview
RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's basketball team is headed to Tennessee for "The Show" in Kingsport for the 11th annual event this weekend.
IU East begins its stay at the MeadowView Conference Resort & Convention Center against the University of Pikeville on Saturday, Nov. 29. The affair with the Bears gets underway at 12:45 p.m.
On Sunday, the Red Wolves take on Warner University from Lake Wales in Florida. Tipoff is scheduled for 11 a.m.
The Red Wolves are 4-2 as they are coming off a 105-63 win over Wright State University Lake at the 50th annual Purple & Gold Tournament at Defiance College on Saturday, Nov. 22.
Pikeville is 6-2 and 4-0 in the Appalachian Athletic Conference. The Bears have won five in a row including a 91-78 victory at home over Union Commonwealth University earlier this week.
Warner is 1-7 overall and 0-3 in the Sun Conference as the Royals face Campbellsville University on Saturday. The Royals dropped an 82-58 decision to league foe Keiser University last weekend.
There are 20 contests in the three-day NAIA event starting on Friday, Nov. 28. Joining the Red Wolves from the River States Conference are IU Kokomo, Oakland City University and Shawnee State University. Check out the press release here.

Spectator passes are $10 daily for adults and $5 daily for students.

YOU OUGHT TO KNOW
* IU East is 8-8 in "The Show" as the Red Wolves play for the ninth time in the event. The Red Wolves lost to Freed-Hardeman University and Union Commonwealth last season.
* Mikey Johnson led IU East with 15 points against Wright State Lake as the Red Wolves had Dewayne Robinson (14), Jeremiah Landers (12), Kyle Tolbert (11) and Caleb Maurer (11) also in double figures.
* The Red Wolves have never played Pikeville, while IU East is 2-1 against Warner. The Red Wolves beat the Royals at "The Show" in 2017 (74-65) and 2018 (76-73). Ranked No 17 at the time, Warner won 68-61 back in 2009 in a tournament at Cincinnati Christian University.
* LA Walker leads Pikeville in scoring at 13.6 PPG. Walker had 26 points versus Union Commonwealth.
* Jack Voth tops Warner with 21.3 PPG, but he's only played in three games this season and he missed the contest with Keiser. The second leading scorer for the Royals is Josh Irwin at 16.4 PPG.
