Red Wolves Post Big Win on Lingle Court

RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's basketball team won its third straight as the Red Wolves defeated IU Southeast 80-57 on Tuesday, Feb. 20.

With the victory, IU East is 10-17 with a 6-11 mark in the River States Conference. IU Southeast is 11-14 and 7-10.

Ibra Athie led the Red Wolves with 21 points, 18 rebounds and four steals.

Colt Meyer finished with 19 points, while Jake Johnson tossed in 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds.

Tobey Billups added seven points as he and Johnson each had six assists.

The Red Wolves began the contest on Lingle Court with a 13-4 advantage at the 15:43 mark of the opening half.

Later in the period, IU East built a 24-9 lead on the way to a 42-24 margin by the intermission.

In the second half, the Red Wolves led by as much as 30 points to put the game away.

IU East ends the regular season at Midway University on Saturday, Feb. 24. The RSC affair gets underway at 3 p.m.
