Bio

Nathaneal Wilson is a Michigan native originally from Holt, a small town just to the south of the main city capital Lansing.  He grew up playing sports such as football, basketball, track, wrestling, and golf. He also enjoys fishing with his dad where he also partakes in competitive bass fishing, as well as playing video games, biking, hiking, and riding ATVs.

Nate attended Holt High School where he holds several top 3 times in the school’s history in both the 110m hurdles and 300m hurdles.  In 2016 and 2017, Nate was named team MVP and placed all state honors in the 110m hurdles in 2017 with honorable mention in the 300m hurdles at the same meet.  He graduated in the spring of 2017 with over a 3.5 GPA and a top 40 standing in his class of roughly 400 students.

College, Undergraduate:

Nate was recruited to run track and field at Tiffin University, the 2016 and 2017 Indoor Team National Champions and NCAA Division 2 power house where he went on to run for 4 years, holding top 10 times in school history in the 60m hurdles and the 110m hurdles.  He placed all GMAC 4 straight seasons in both indoor and outdoor, making him an 8 time GMAC All-Conference finalist, never failing to make it to a conference final.  In 2020 and 2021 he hit qualifying times for the NCAA Division 2 national meet for the 60m hurdles respectfully.  As a team, Nate and the squad at TU saw a 3 year streak of top 3 team finishes at the Division 2 National meets for indoor and outdoor, the longest streak of any team in any division at that time. Nate and his team at Tiffin also accomplished 3 GMAC Team Championships in 2019, 2020, and 2021. Nate graduated from Tiffin in the spring of 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science.

College, Graduate:

In the fall of 2021 Nate took his last year of track eligibility to Oakland University, Rochester Hills Michigan.  Oakland is a small Division 1 mid-major school in the suburbs of northern metro Detroit, where Nate went on to study a masters in Exercise Science.  Unfortunately due to injury and eligibility rules, Nate was forced to sit out the 2022 season and wait to compete for his final season in 2023.  He went on to score top 2 in the conference finals for the 110m hurdles and went on to break the school record in the event.  Ending his career with a school record in the 110m hurdles and a top 2 time in the 60m hurdles at Oakland. His collegiate personal bests follow,

60m hurdles: 8.08

110m hurdles: 14.20

400m hurdles: 55.12

Nate graduated from Oakland University in 2023 with a Master’s degree in Exercise Science with a focus in biomechanics along with over 300 hours of internship experience in performance training and strength and conditioning, not only with athletes but special populations as well.  Nate is currently working towards his certifications in Sports Science, Sport Performance Training, and Strength and Conditioning.
