Red Wolves Drop Season Opener

CEDARVILLE, Ohio -- The IU East traveled to Cedarville in the season opener on Wednesday, but the Yellow Jackets, however, defeated the Red Wolves 7-0. 

In doubles action, the Red Wolves' No. 1 team of Kyle Hollingsworth and Jace Wilkerson were defeated by Cedarville's Logan DeHaven and Roberto Esquivel 6-1.

At the number two doubles spot, Bryce Wennen and Leo Calderon were defeated by Pedro Negueira and Luke VanNieuwenhuyse 6-1.

Singles results

No. 1 Kyle Hollingsworth was defeated by Nathan Hollis 6-1, 6-0

No. 2 Bryce Wennen was defeated by Penn Morrison 6-1, 6-1

No. 3 Clay Conner was defeated by Abraham Hougland 6-0, 6-1

No. 4 Jace Wilkerson was defeated by Barry King 6-1, 6-3

No. 5 Leo Calderon was defeated by Ryan Mecurio 6-0, 6-1

The men are back in action on Monday, September 30th at Glen Miller Park against Earlham.
